Closed-door meeting in the Iraqi parliament to resolve the budget

“The meeting included the Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi and the government delegation , Ali Hussein al-Shahristani, Ali al-Alaq , Abdul Karim LAeebi , Chairman of Supreme Audit board, Abdel Basset Turki , while Kurdistan delegation included , Rose Nuri Shaways and Kurdishministers ,” The source told “Shafaq News”.

He added that the meeting was closed .

Kurdistan had concluded last year agreements with Turkey to export Kurdish oil through a new pipeline that extends to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean to sell it in the global markets .

This development has raised the anger of officials in Baghdad, who assert that the federal government has the only right to manage Iraq's energy resources .

It is worth mentioning that an article in the budget stipulates deducting a part of Kurdistan share from the budget if do not abide by the export of 400 thousand barrels of oil per day via " SOMO" Iraqi oil state-owned company.
