Clashes Renewed Between Security Forces and Protesters in Baghdad

Shafaq News / Protesters have been suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas, as security forces tried to break up protests in the capital, Baghdad.

The clashes took place in al-Khilani Square, central Baghdad, between demonstrators and security forces from the riot police, when they tried to reopen al-Khilani Square and remove concrete barriers, where they used live bullets and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

This action comes after a day that Baghdad city witnessed on the background of clashes between the security forces and the demonstrators, especially on Muhammad al-Qasim Bridge, which left 6 people dead and more than 50 wounded protesters.
