Civil defense extinguishes the ports’ fire in Basra

Shafaq News / Civil defense teams managed to extinguish a large fire that broke out in al- Hafkah port in Basra.

The port is active in oil export for international markets.

Informed sources said that the civil defense teams managed to evacuate more than 100 employees at the port. The fire occurred this morning in the housing places of the workers, no casualties were recorded.

Sources told Shafaq News that the cause of the fire was not yet known and is being investigated.
