Change movement calls to amend Presidency of Kurdistan Region’s law
“Change is demanding to amend the law of the Presidency of Kurdistan Region , especially the paragraph of commissioning the Regional president for the candidates , one for Prime ministry and second deputy prime minister and for the commissioning of the candidate to be limited by the head of government , noting that the movement feel that this article was drafted by the administrations system in the region ,” The member of Kurdistan Parliament from Change movement , Bahar Mohammed said at a press conference on Wednesday morning at the parliament building m attended by " Shafaq News “.
He added that through modifying this article will remove the effects of the two administrations in the region .
Kurdistan Region is being administered by two administrations one in Erbil and the other in Sulaimaniyah after infighting witnessed in the region that had taken place in 1994 and lasted until 1998, as the two administration remained the same until 2005 and holding parliamentary election after the fall of the former regime in 2003 .
It has been scheduled to nominate a candidate of Kurdistan Democratic Party , Nechirvan Barzani and another candidate from Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) for the formation of the next Kurdish government, but the lack of a candidate by PUK prevented it and postponed the session to Wednesday.
Change movement also demanded to speed up the ratification of the budget and project parties to determine a monthly grant for housewives and amend the regulating law of demonstrations with modified pension law as the case in Iraq .
