Britain supports Al-Kadhimi's government in four files

Shafaq News / The British Foreign Secretary Dominic Rapp announced on Tuesday that his country is supportive of the Iraqi government politically, economically, and in security field, as well as in efforts to combat Corona pandemic.

"Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received a phone call from British Foreign Secretary Dominic Rapp, during which he congratulated Al-Kadhimi on his assumption of the premiership, a statement of the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office, reported to Shafaq News Agency.

The British Foreign Secretary stressed, according to the statement, "the continuation of partnership , cooperation and Britain's support to Iraq, and addressing common threats, especially the war against terrorism”.

For his part, Al-Kadhimi welcomed "the development of relations between the two countries, in a way that achieves mutual interests, and sent the British Foreign Secretary an invitation to visit Iraq, which he promised to fulfill at the earliest opportunity."

He also wished, according to the statement, "the British people to overcome Corona crisis and its repercussions."
