Biden calls Maliki on fighting “Daash” and export of oil from Erbil

According to a statement released by Biden's office , the two sides discussed in a telephone call , U.S. support for the Iraqi forces in facing the armed attacks by Daash elements.

The statement said that Biden and Maliki agreed on the importance of the Iraqi government's efforts towards unifying their ranks with local leaders and tribal sheiks in Anbar province in western Iraq , which includes strongholds of ( Daash elements) .

Violent armed clashes have taken place in Fallujah city, as well as in different parts of Anbar province between ( Daash ) and the Iraqi army that left dozens dead from both sides as well as civilians .

The Iraqi special forces of a three thousand soldiers began yesterday an extensive operation to regain control of ( Daash ) strongholds in Anbar province supported by Iraqi warplanes .

On the other hand , Biden stressed the importance of reaching an acceptable path with leaders in Erbil regarding the export of oil from Iraq .
