A statement by Kurdistan Democratic Party , led by Barzani , reported for " Shafaq News " , that “ Barzani met with the leader of the National Coalition for the revolution forces and the Syrian opposition , Ahmed al-Jarba and his deputy, Abdul Hakim Bashar in Paris , noting that the two sides discussed various topics concerning different issues of Syria - Iraq .

Barzani said the situation in Iraq after the announcement of the results of the last legislative elections, the Kurdish parties position is unified in this regard , adding that the Kurds will not remain partners in the government headed by al-Maliki.

Barzani pointed out that Kurdistan will make all efforts with other parties in order to find a true partner heads the next Iraqi government .

The statement quoted Barzani confirming that in case of success of Nuri al-Maliki in the prime minister for the third time , as the Kurd’s option is to resort to a referendum in Kurdistan towards announcing another version of their relationship with Baghdad .
