Barzani discusses forming KRG with five parties

A statement from the presidency of the region , reported for " Shafaq News " , that Barzani met with the leaders of each of the Islamic Movement in Kurdistan , the Communist Party of Kurdistan , the Kurdistan Democratic Socialist Party and a delegation from the third trend (al-Itejah al-Thaleth) , which includes Kurdistan Labour and Toilers Party as well as Kurdistan Toilers Party .

Barzani demanded the attendees, according to the statement to express their views on the formation of the new government , adding that everyone assert the need to expedite the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) .

Barzani talked about the details of his meetings with the winning parties in the election and steps aimed at forming a new government , declaring that it is necessary that the ongoing negotiations would form KRG and make results .

The statement added that the meeting discussed political and economic situation in Kurdistan Region , as well as relations between the region and Baghdad, the results of negotiations between the two parties and discussing the latest developments in the political and security situation in Iraq .

He said that the attendees expressed their appreciation for the meetings convened by the President of Kurdistan Region with political parties regarding their attendance as an evidence of the attention Barzani on different views .

The head of the outgoing KRG , Nechirvan Barzani had held several negotiations with the winning parties and blocs in the parliamentary elections that took place on 21 of last September.
