Barzani announces to Washington his willingness to “save “Iraq

“Barzani received a telephone call from U.S. Vice President, Joseph Biden last Thursday night and discussed through the latest political and security developments in Iraq, a statement by the presidency of the region said reported for “Shafaq News ".

The statement added that the two sides expressed their support for the joint efforts of Iraqi political parties and tribal leaders in Anbar as well as local leaders against terrorist groups , stressing that dialogue is the way to resolve the political problems in Iraq .

The statement added that during the call, they discussed relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and the emphasis on the continuation of negotiations and exchange of delegations between the two parties in order to resolve the misunderstanding that took place between the Regional Government and the federal government on export of oil issue .

The statement noted that Barzani expressed his readiness to make efforts with Iraqi political leaders to save Iraq from this crisis and the current complexities.

The statement noted that the U.S. vice-president announced his support for a federal unified Iraq and its constitution .
