Arrest warrant issued against two officers involved in killing demonstrators in an Iraqi province

Shafaq News/ Kut Investigation Court announced on Tuesday that it has issued an arrest warrant against two officers affiliated to Wasit police who killed demonstrators in the province.

The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement today that " Kut investigation court issued an arrest warrant against two police officers after recording the statements of prosecutors with the personal right of the martyrs who died in the demonstrations that took place in the province."

The center added that "the court has seen the video recordings of the cameras near the accident shops and recorded witness statements."

"The court issued its order in accordance with the provisions of Article 406 of the Penal Code in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Internal Security Forces.
