Araji: I resigned from Ahrar presidency and was not excluded

Al-Araji told “Shafaq News " , that " I have submitted my resignation from the presidency of the bloc for two reasons: The first is because I am busy in the coming elections and I headed to national partnership bloc of the Sadrist movement and the second because we have chosen a person who is not a candidate for the upcoming elections for its presidency ."

The local media have talked about al-Araji’s exclusion from office following a decision by the Head of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al -Sadr to quit politics .

Araji explained, that " the movement’s line will remain as many people did not understand the decision of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr to leave the political action ; since it does not represent a certain political state but represents Marjyaa and has a great role in the national action therefore it is open to all the Iraqis and from different views ."
