Alwani presented to the investigating judge to write down his sayings

The Iraqi security forces arrested al-Alwani, last Saturday , after a raid on his home in Ramadi in Anbar province , killed al-Alwani’s brother and three of his bodyguards during clashes that accompanied the raid on his house , which has increased tensions in the province.

News has conflicted about the fate of al-Alwani , While some pointed to his release ; government denied it , and said some officials said the issue is up to the judiciary.

An informed source told “Shafaq News " , that “Ahmed Alwani’s papers have been submitted this morning to the investigating judge to follow up on his case file , then MP was presented to the judge to write down his sayings”.

“The issue will take essential measures required in relation to the charges against him to be presented to the competent court , which will issue an order about it later,” he added.

Albu Alwan clan demanded last Sunday to hand over MP Ahmed al-Alwani to Parliament Speaker , Osama al-Nujaifi otherwise threatened to take a " strict " position.

Sheikh Adnan Al-Muhanna , tribal leader of Albu Alwan said in a statement to " Shafaq News " , that " we are fully aware of the government’s equivocation attempts to release MP Ahmed al-Alwani to numb the nerves of the masses by spreading the news about his close release ."
