After resuming land movement in Iraq, two Iranian travelers arrested with possession of narcotic drugs

Shafaq News / The Border Ports Authority / Zarbatiya Border Outlet in Wasit Governorate announced that two Iranian travelers were arrested with 20 g and 19 g of narcotic drugs with a quantity of methadone pills."

The Iraqi authorities had announced almost daily the arrest of Iranian travelers trying to smuggle drugs to Iraq in the border posts.

According to the Border Ports Authority, the seizure took place before they entered the passenger terminal by the Anti-Narcotics Division detachment, customs police, and port cadres.

What was seized according to a fundamentalist report was referred to the Drug Control Division in Badra to take the necessary legal measures against them.

Iran announced that Iran would resume the land movement, especially for its visitors for religious shrines, after being arrested because of the protests in Iraq.
