Three terrorists arrested in a security operation in Ninevah
Shafaq News / The National Security Agency in Nineveh arrested on Tuesday of an official responsible for booby-trapping operations and three members of the "Diwan al-Jund" (bureau of troops) of ISIS in the governorate.
The agency said in a statement received to Shafaq News Agency, "The agency received intelligence information that several terrorists are attempting to enter Nineveh Governorate", noting that, "a force from the National Security Agency deployed detachments at the main entrances to monitor the suspects upon to the terrorist database".
The statement indicated, "the force was able to arrest the official of the booby-trapping detachment within the northern district of Nineveh, affiliated with the criminal gangs of ISIS". He explained, "During the investigation, he confessed to manufacturing IEDs and bombing cars since they occupied the province."
The statement added, "three fighters of Diwan al-Jund were arrested in his company. The terrorists confessed to resisting the security forces during the liberation operations", noting that, "their statements were written down and referred to the relevant judicial authorities to take the required measures against them".
On Thursday, Nineveh Operations Command announced arresting of members of a "terrorist" family who had infiltrated Iraq from Syria.
In July, the Security Media Cell announced that the coalition air-forces demolished tunnels of ISIS organization in Nineveh Governorate.
