Shafaq News / The Sairoon Alliance, supported by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed today, Tuesday, the type of weapons in Iraq, and the parties that carry them.

 The deputy of the alliance, Riyadh Muhammad, told Shafaq News agency, "Weapons in Iraq are divided into five types. The first is the legal weapon which is in the state’s hands, and the second is the licensed weapon that is licensed by the state and carried by civilians and the third weapon is the illegal weapons in the hands of the people,” adding that the third type amounted more than 12 million weapons”.

The alliance declared;” the fourth type found in the armed groups, the number of which is unknown, and the fifth type of weapon, the one that the terrorist groups have, which is estimated to count 2million different weapons.”

 Sairoon added, "the government should prevent the use of weapons outside the control of the state”, emphasizing that  the government cannot collect weapons, especially since no one accepts handing over their owns to the government.”

 Last Saturday, the Basra Operations Command launched a security operation that includes confiscating heavy and light weapons in some areas of the Governorate, especially the areas where Ashaeri conflicts took place.
