Sinjar registers a new COVID-19 case

Shafaq News / The administrator of Sunoni sub-district Hospital, Kamal Saleh, announced on Wednesday that a new case of COVID-19 has been registered in the sub-district north of Sinjar district, the stronghold of the Yezidi Kurds.

Saleh told Shafaq News agency that the sub-district registered a new case of COVID-19 after the Health Department sent laboratory samples to Mosul and confirmed the cases, bringing the total number of cases to three.

Saleh added that the patient was placed in home quarantine, indicating that the medical teams in the sub-district are supervising him.

The director of Sunoni Hospital indicated that the Health Department harvested samples from the contacts of the patient as well.
