Protests reemerge in two southern governorates
Shafaq News / The governorates of Dhi Qar and Basra, in the far south of Iraq, witnessed today, Tuesday, protests demanding salaries and job opportunities.
Shafaq News Agency reporter said that the employees of Dhi Qar Electricity department staged a protest stand this morning, at the branch's headquarters, to demand releasing the salaries of July and refrain delaying the payments of the upcoming months.
In Basra, Shafaq News Agency reporter indicated that demonstrators blocked the road to Al-Rumayla gas station after Basra Gas Company failed to fulfill its promise to provide 100 job opportunities.
