President Barzani exchange views with a Senior Sadrist leader

Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan, Nechirvan Barzani, reiterated the Region's commitment to the Federal Budget law provisions.

President Barzani's statements came during his meeting with the head of the Political Commission of the Sadrist movement, Nassar al-Rabiei, in the latter's headquarters in Baghdad.

Al-Rabiei said in a readout of today's meeting, "the budget is the structure upon which the relation between the center and the Region will be built."

He added, "we were not considering the budget per se; we wanted to lay a cornerstone to address all the differences."

"The upcoming elections will be a genuine turn in Iraq's modern history. The Parliamentary representation will match the population size of each party."

The President of Kurdistan Region disembarked in Baghdad on a two-day visit to bolster the cooperation between the Federal and Regional governments.

Barzani convened with the three presidencies and held meetings with multiple political forces.
