Parliamentary committee: it is time to put an end to the repeated attacks on the US embassy
Shafaq News / The Security and Defense Committee of the Iraqi Parliament stressed on Saturday the need to put an end to the repeated attacks on the American embassy and foreign forces in the country.
The head of the committee, Muhammad Rida Al-Haidar, said in a press conference, "Iraq is going through serious challenges that require courageous positions, and not going into the midst of courtesies to please this party or that. The country cannot bear it no more", adding, "Iraq is a sovereign country governed by the constitution and the law, and no party whatsoever can override this law or infringe on the articles of the constitution, which calls for us all to take a decisive and resolute stance towards any violation".
