PMF and the Iraqi Army starts a security operation in Diyala

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Army and al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces-PMF) launched a large-scale security operation to pursue ISIS remnants in the governorate of Diyala in Eastern Iraq.
PMF said in a press release today that the Iraqi forces started shelling areas to the west of Hamrin lake in preparation for land operations.
The operation deployed forces from the Brigades 4, 20, 23, 110, Nidaa Diyala, and supporting forces from the PMF, in addition to a force from the Iraqi Army, Federal Police, and the Rapid Response Squad.
The operation aims to pursue ISIS remnants and secure the area of operations, according to the Statement.
