Local official in Basra survives assassination attempt

Shafaq News / A local official in Basra governorate survived an assassination attempt, a security source reported.
The source told Shafaq News agency that unidentified armed men attempted to murder the administrator of al-Shafi sub-district (south of Basra), Saad al-Shawi.
Al-Shawi was wounded and hospitalized immediately, according to the source.
