Shafaq News / The Minister of Interior of Kurdistan Region, Rebar Ahmed, announced on Sunday that the Supreme Committee to Combat COVID-19 will introduce changes to the lockdown measures as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.

In a press conference held today in Erbil, the minister said that most of the citizens' activities in Ramadan begin at night, and a set of decisions will be issued to reduce contact between Citizens as much as possible.

"The lockdown is still in effect, and today we will decide which places will remain open and which ones will be closed", Ahmed added.

Regarding opening mosques, the minister said, "This issue will be discussed during the meeting of the Supreme Committee, which will be held today, and decisions will be taken in a way that serves the public interest."
