Karada bomber arrested

Shafaq News/ The spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, said on Sunday that the bomber of a bus in Karada district of Baghdad on 29/7/2020 was arrested.

The explosion resulted in two fatalities and injuring five others.

Rasoul said in a statement, "Al-Kadhimi directed the investigation into the incident and reaching the perpetrators, where the National Security Agency was able, through the field, technical and intelligence effort, to identify the bomber of this terrorist operation and to obtain accurate information about him and determine his location".

He added that after obtaining the legal arrest warrants, he was arrested within 24 hours of committing this crime by raiding the den that was housing him, as well as seizing the explosive equipment used in this terrorist incident, as well as other indications that he used during implementation. Rasoul asserted that legal measures were taken against him.
