Judiciary seeks to have twenty MP's immunity lifted

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council addressed the Parliament to strip twenty lawmakers of immunity to prosecution.

A source told Shafaq News Agency that the Judiciary submitted a request to the Council of Representatives to lift the legal immunity of twenty for corruption suspicions looming around them.

The source added that the Parliament will proceed with the legal procedures of lifting the immunity in its upcoming sessions soon.
