Iraq's Sunni and Kurdistan's Endowment announce Tuesday as Ramadan's first day
The Minister of Endowment, Pshtiwan Sadq Abdallah, said in a press conference held today, Sunday, that tomorrow, Monday, will be a complement for Shaaban, and the holy month of Ramadan starts on Tuesday, indicating that reopening Mosques for prayers will be on Monday.
Sadq said that reopening will be accompanied by COVID-19 restrictions, expressing gratitude to the Supreme Commission for appreciating the significance of Ramadan to the Muslims.
In the same context, Sunni Endowment in Iraq said that Tuesday coincides with the first day of Ramadan, while the Shiite religious authorities will wait for moon sighting tomorrow.
