Shafaq News / The Iraqi passport came last in the 2020 edition of the "Passport Index", out of 170 countries.

According to a report by "Passport Index" seen by Shafaq News Agency, "The Iraqi passport, according went down one place in the 2020 edition, ranking last among its global counterparts in terms of its power in opening up prospects for international travel to its holders, preceded by the Afghan and Syrian passport, respectively. ".

the index showed that the Belgian passport came first among the world's passports, followed by the French passport, then the German passport, so the Finnish passport.

In the Arab world, the Emirati passport came first, then the Qatari passport, then the Kuwaiti passport, and the rest of the Arab countries came at different distances - and sometimes diverging - as follows: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the Sultanate of Oman, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Mauritania, Egypt, Comoros, Djibouti, Sudan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestinian territories, Yemen, Somalia, Syria, Iraq.

 

According to the index, the Iraqi passport holder can travel to 28 countries only, including 4 countries without a visa and 24 countries with an official visa.
