Five CF Candidates for PREMIERSHIP

Shafaq News/ A leader in the Shiite Coordination Framework (CF) revealed that five figures compete for the premiership.

The leader told Shafaq News Agency, "The CF's forces agreed to form a committee to discuss the candidates for the position of prime minister. the committee includes the Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Qais Khazali, the head of the Wisdom (Al-Hikma) Movement Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the Supreme Council Hammam Hamoudi, and the representative of the Fadhila Party, Abdul-Sada Al-Fraiji."

"The committee will submit its report to the CF leadership on Wednesday. the report contains five nominees: Haider Al-Abadi, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, Abdul-Hussein Abtan, Ali Al-Shukri, and Qasim Al-Araji," adding that "other candidates will be added in the coming hours."

The CF leaders would choose their candidate by secret ballot. He added.

Yesterday, Shafaq News agency learned that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, asked Hadi al-Ameri, the head of the al-Fatah coalition, to run for premiership.

Reliable sources told Shafaq News agency that al-Sadr had already contacted al-Ameri, and confirmed that he would fully support his candidacy.

They added that the Coordination Framework is currently working to finalize the premiership file amid disagreements between its members over supporting the candidacy of second-class leaders of the CF or extending Mustafa al-Kadhimi's mandate.
