Covid-19: More than 4000 new cases in Iraq today

Shafaq News / Iraq registered, on Monday, more than 4000 new cases of Covid- in the past 24 hours.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment said in a statement that, 23872 tests were performed today,

The newly 4299 recovery cases were distributed as follows:

Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 439 , Baghdad / Al-Karkh 462, Medical City 85, Najaf 223, Al-Sulaymaniyah 104, Erbil 221, Duhok 106,  Karbala 358, Kirkuk 138, Diyala 37, Wasit 339, Babel 119, Basra 577, Maysan 133, Al-Diwaniyah 176, Dhi Qar 246, Al-Anbar 26, Muthanna 197, Saladin 80 and Nineveh 215 .

The statement indicated that the cases that are diagnosed amounted to 4314 cases, distributed as follows:

Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 432, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 575,Medica city 61,  Najaf 370, Al-Sulaymaniyah 158, Erbil 281, Duhok 349, Kirkuk 107, Karbala 194, Diyala 48, Wasit 269,  Basra 239, Maysan 185, Babel 63, Dhi Qar 254, Al-Diwaniyah 195, Al-Anbar 48, Muthanna 179, Nineveh 92, and Saladin 188.

While 77 fatalities were registered, as follows:

Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 4, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 2, Medical city 1, Najaf 2, Al-Sulaymaniyah 13, Erbil 7,Duhok 1,  Karbala 4, Kirkuk 6, Diyala 2, Basra 8, Wasit 3, Babel 2, Dhi Qar 9, Nineveh 3, Al-Diwaniyah 6, Duhok 3, Maysan 1 and Muthanna 1.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, the total number of:

·       Confirmed cases: 264684.

·       Recoveries 202859.

·       Inpatients: 54236, which 534 admitted to ICU.

·       Fatalities: 7589.

·       Tests: 1718157
