Covid-19: Diyala in under control
Shafaq News / Diyala Governorate reduced on Monday the fears and dangers posed by the recent escalation of Covid-19 infections.
The director of the Public Health Department in Diyala Health, Nabil Fadel, told Shafaq News agency that "the increase in active cases globally and the lack of total commitment of citizens to health preventive measures will increase the infected cases," adding "despite that, Diyala is under full control. "
"We have made great progress in the field of prevention and limiting the spread of the virus," Fadel added, noting that "we prepared more than 400 beds to face any health emergencies."
He pointed out that "80% of cases of corona in Diyala have no apparent symptoms and do not pose a risk to the lives of the infected."
So far, Diyala registered 4,040 cases, 3,215 recoveries and 163 deaths.
