COVID-19: 4000+ cases and 85 deaths in Iraq today

Shafaq News / The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced, on Wednesday, that more than 4 thousand cases and 85 deaths of COVID-19 were registered today, while it indicated that 2529 patients have recovered from the disease over the past 24 hours. 

In the daily epidemiological report in Iraq issued by the ministry on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, the Ministry said that 20,356 samples have been examined in all specialized laboratories in Iraq for this day, bringing the total number of samples examined in Iraq since the beginning of the outbreak to 1345459.

The Ministry of Health stated that it recorded 2529 recovery cases in Iraq today, distributed as follows:

The statement added that 85 patient passed away from the complications of the virus, as follows:

The ministry indicated that the total count of recovery cases amounted to 134,369; with a cure rate of 71.2%, while the total number of cases reached 188,802; including 48,312 inpatients, 582 ICU-patients. The death toll in the country has reached 6121 since the outbreak of the virus in the country earlier in May.
