Barzani-Halbousi meeting supports a constitution-based dialogue to solve the outstanding problems

Shafaq News / Iraq’s Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed on Saturday with the Kurdish President Nechirvan Barzani the latest developments in the country, the early elections, and a number of issues of common interest.

According to a statement by the Parliament presidency, the two sides emphasized the necessity of constitution-based dialogue to solve the outstanding problems between Baghdad and Erbil, as well as the importance of implementing the articles of the Federal Budget Law “to preserve the rights of the Iraqi citizen."

Both sides confirmed their support for holding early elections on time, and “creating the conditions that enable citizens to freely choose their representatives and to instill their confidence in the results."
