Shafaq News / Baghdad Municipality resumed on Tuesday the campaign to remove the infringements in the capital, only a few days after the new Mayor decided to suspend it temporarily.

The Baghdad Municipality said, in a brief statement issued today, that it "has prepared a new plan to eliminate violations in the capital, to be implemented starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday 9/23/2020".

Last Friday, September 18, the new Mayor of Baghdad, Manhal Al-Haboubi, directed all the cadres of Baghdad Municipality to immediately suspend the campaigns of eliminating the violations.

Al-Haboubi also directed, "immediately preparing a new plan commensurate with the existing excesses of all forms throughout the capital, Baghdad", stressing, "the rejection of the excesses that distorted the capital's view and its urban landscape during previous years".

The Mayor of Baghdad stressed that "the removal of violations should be carried out according to a well-thought-out, integrated and multifaceted plan that will be launched later in a manner that ensures that no harm will be caused to the sustenance and rights of citizens".
