Shafaq News / The Arab tribes in the disputed areas called on the families of victims of terrorism since 2003 to file complaints in the Iraqi courts against the country's mufti Abdul-Mehdi Al-Sumaidaie, demanding the Iraqi government to hold him accountable.

The spokesman for the Arab tribes in the disputed areas, Sheikh Muzahim Al-Hawit, said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, "Al-Sumaidaie admitted that he is the legitimate Mufti of all terrorist factions that call themselves "resistance, adding, "We, as Arab tribes, demand the Iraqi government to hold accountable the so-called Abdul-Mehdi Al-Sumaidaie, who is the main culprit in the destruction of western cities and governorates, including the city of Fallujah, whose people were committed the most heinous crimes and violations, after Al-Sumaidaie issued a Fatwa that pushed Sunni youths to fight the Americans".

Al-Hawit added, "We reject Al-Sumaidaie statements, and assure him that the Sunnis will not fight the Americans and will not enter into wars with any party. Rather, they are friends of the Americans. Abdul-Mehdi Al-Sumaidaie does not represent us and does not represent the Sunnis in general, but only represents himself".

He explained, "We call on the international coalition led by the United States of America to include Mahdi Al-Sumaidaie on the list of international terrorism".

the list of international terrorism, who called himself the "Mufti of the Republic of Iraq" and ran a Fatwa House in a huge mosque in central Baghdad, called in a television interview, for the formation of Sunni groups armed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to fight those he described as "the occupation forces" in Iraq.
