An explosion in Kirkuk and an airdrop in Maimouna

Shafaq News / The Security Media Cell reported, on Monday, that an explosion targeted a college dean in Kirkuk governorate.

It said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that an explosive device exploded yesterday evening at government vehicle belonging to the dean of the Grand Imam College in Kirkuk in the Al-Askari district in the governorate, indicating that the explosion "caused material damage to the vehicle only."

The Security Media Cell also indicated in a separate statement that "the Rapid Response Team continues to impose security, law enforcement, pursue wanted persons, and disarm unauthorized weapons in Maysan Governorate."

It explained that the special missions regiment ran out this morning, several airdrops in the Maimouna district with the support of the army aviation, indicating that the operations are still continuing.
