An Iraqi intelligence officer assassinated in Diyala
Shafaq News / A security source reported today, Wednesday, that unknown gunmen assassinated an intelligence officer in Diyala.
The source told Shafaq News agency that the gunmen shot him near his home in a village northeast of Abu Saida, 30 km northeast of Baqubah.
Abu Saida district has witnessed many clan conflicts for several years, causing the displacement, death and injury of hundreds of citizens.
It is also subjected to terrorist attacks now and then as it contains dense orchards that have turned into shelters and safe hideouts for armed groups.
