Al-Maliki condemns the UAE-Israel deal
Shafaq News / The leader of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, condemned the agreement reached by both the UAE and Israel, calling on Arab and Islamic countries to reject it.
Al-Maliki said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, "the Camp David project for normalization between the Zionist entity and some Arab governments is expanding in an insulting and miserable way".
He added, "The Arab political system has transcended the limits of Arab and Islamic values by choosing normalization with the Zionists, who spilled the blood of Arabs and Muslims and continued to usurp lands and sanctities".
"The path of political and economic rapprochement with the Zionists is a betrayal of God, Muslims and the nation's sacrifices against the arrogance of Zionist extremism, its constant attacks against Arabs and Muslims, and the continuing usurpation of Palestine", Al-Maliki said.
He explained, "The cooperation protocol between the UAE and the usurping entity, with US blessing, is nothing but an episode of the humiliating plan to waste legitimate rights recognized by international legitimacy", pointing that, "this step, which was not expected from the UAE, supports the deal of the century that changes the map of the region in favor of the Zionist entity".
The leader of the State of Law Coalition continued by saying, "This step is a clear violation of the decisions of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned movement and other international organizations that have recognized the rights of the Palestinian people over their land".
He concluded, "We call on the Arab and Islamic countries to raise their voices in rejecting this Arab political collapse. We also call on the people of the Islamic and Arab nations to express their rejection of this dangerous step and work to stop it".
