Al-Kadhimi to visit Al-Sulaymaniyah during his tour in Kurdistan
Shafaq News / An informed political source revealed, on Wednesday, that the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, will visit Al-Sulaymaniyah Governorate, during a tour in the Kurdistan Region that will start tomorrow from the capital, Erbil.
The source told Shafaq News Agency that the visit to Al-Sulaymaniyah will be on this Friday, to meet government and party officials.
Earlier in the day, an informed political source said that Iraqi Prime Minister will visit Erbil tomorrow, Thursday, to meet with the leaders of the region.
During his visit, Al-Kadhimi will discuss several files, including the outstanding disputes between Baghdad and Erbil, and the fight against ISIS remnants, as well as holding early parliamentary elections.
The Kurdistan Region was among the parties that strongly supported the appointment of Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to head the federal government.
It’s noteworthy that Al-Kadhimi’s government and Kurdistan have been holding talks for months to resolve the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil, which are basically the disputed areas, the oil revenues.
