Al-Hashd reinforces its existence south of Kirkuk

Shafaq News / The "Al-Abbas Team", the 26th Brigade, in Al-Hashd announced on Friday sending forces of shield, artillery and missiles, as well as tactics to the Al-Bashir Kasbah, south of Kirkuk governorate, to strengthen security as a result of the occurrence of exposures in the vicinity of the Kasaba.

The leadership said in a statement today that “after several security breaches at the outskirts of the Kasaba and the heights in Al-Bashir’, this force was directed to fill any security gaps and to reinforce and secure the vicinity of the sector.”

The Minister of Peshmerga, Shorish Ismail, said in a press conference held last Tuesday that "ISIS is still a threat to the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army in areas including Mosul, Diyala and Kirkuk."
