A demonstration and an explosion in two southern governorates

Shafaq News/ Hundreds of public servants in Basra, Southern Iraq, organized a demonstration to demand releasing their entitlements.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that the demonstrators decried delisting their entitlements from the recently approved budget law.

A blast from an explosive device reportedly took place in a district in the south of Dhi Qar Governorate.

A source told Shafaq News Agency, "an IED targeted the residence of a civilian in al-Tar district, Southern Dhi Qar."

The source added, "the explosion inflicted damage to the target's vehicle and residence."

Security forces started an investigation to reveal the motives and the circumstances of the incident.
