19 officers and security officials arrest in Al-Radwaniyah crime

Shafaq News / The spokesman for the Iraqi Prime Minister announced, on Tuesday, the arrest of people who are involved in launching rockets at the Green Zone and military bases in Baghdad as well as the arrest of officers and security officials.

The spokesman Ahmed Mulla Talal, announced in a press conference in the capital, Baghdad, that "the security forces arrested multiple rocket launchers," without listing neither their identities nor the parties to which they belong.

He also stated that "19 officers and security officials who are performed in the crime location were arrested".

Yesterday, Monday evening, 3 children and two women were killed by Katyusha rockets targeted their home in Al-Radwaniyah, near Baghdad Airport, west of the capital.

In the past weeks, attacks targeting US and international coalition forces are targeted frequently to almost daily, amid reports cited that Washington may close its embassy in Baghdad for 90 days.
