100 thousand Syrian Kurds willing to volunteer in Peshmerga ranks
The president of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani announced on Wednesday, a general mobilization to support Peshmarga Kurdish forces in the defense of Kurdistan by calling the retired people who used to work in these forces and call the public to support Peshmarga with all their possibilities.
The head of the Refugee Council of Syrian Kurds in Sulaymaniyah , Khalid Abdullah told “Shafaq News", that” they want through this rally to express their support for Peshmerga forces in the defense of Kurdistan Region and other areas against ISIL attacks.
He added that they are ready with all form to support of Peshmerga forces and volunteer in ranks of Peshmerga forces free of charge to protect the land of Kurdistan Region from terrorists.
He noted that there are approximately 100 000 people of Kurdish refugees from Syria in Arbat camp willing to volunteer in the ranks of Peshmerga forces to defend Kurdistan.
These developments in the political and security situation of Kurdistan come after Peshmarga Kurdish forces moved into the disputed areas in Nineveh, Salahuddin, Kirkuk and Diyala provinces that are witnessing serious security events after gunmen control of the so-called Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant "ISIL" seized many areas where after sudden withdrawal of the segments of the Iraqi military in the past few days.
