Zebari: Volume of trade exchange between Iraq and China rose 20 times

Earlier in the morning, China's Foreign Minister , Wang Yi arrived to Baghdad on an official visit .

Zebari said at a news conference with his Chinese counterpart , attended by " Shafaq News ," “ that The State of China today is the largest trading partner of Iraq and the largest investor in the energy sector such as oil, electricity and other fields .

He pointed out that relations between the two countries have witnessed significant development as bilateral trade has raised more than 20 times reaching a trade volume of 24 billion dollars recently , pointing out that there are more than 25 Chinese companies operating in different fields .

Zebari said "We discussed various fields with the Ambassador of China including its company contribution in the process of arming Iraq."
