Sulaimaniyah a major commercial center pending on Baghdad’s decision

, noting that it waiting for Baghdad to make all border points with Iran as official border crossings.

Saleh’s confirmation came in a meeting with the Iranian consul in Sulaimaniyah , Mahbobi Ahmadinejad and his entourage in the provincial building, to discuss ways to enhance trade and economic relations between the two sides.

Saleh expressed his desire to make Sulaymaniyah city from the large commercial centers in the region, stressing the need to organize the border crossings and develop economic and trade relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Governor of Sulaymaniyah explained that Kurdistan Regional Government has completed all work on making the border crossings with Iran as official international crossings, stressing that it is waiting for ratification by the Federal Iraqi government.

Sulaymaniyah province has two borders crossing with the Iranian side, in addition to a number of other crossings of trade exchange between the two sides but not recognized by Baghdad as official crossings.
