The source said that exports was amounted to Saturday at 1.75 million barrels per day (bpd) compared with 2.5 million bpd on Friday.
Strong winds around Basra ports made it difficult for ships to reach the ports as docking operations have been delayed.
Iraq has exported the bulk of its oil from the southern ports in the Gulf.
