Shahristani calls Japan to rely on Iraq in the energy field

“Iraq is progressing and developing its resources to be a leader in the energy field in the coming years .Shahristani said in a statement reported for “Shafaq News “during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe in Tokyo.

He added that Japan could rely on Iraq in the energy field.

It is worth mentioning that oil production in Iraq is growing since 2009 when it signed agreements with international energy companies to develop fields and aspires to produce about 8 million barrels per day by 2017.
