Official: Barzani’s visit to Kuwait aims to attract investments

, saying that it comes to attract the Kuwaiti private sector to work in the region.

“Barzani 's visit aims to strengthen relations between Kurdistan Region and the State of Kuwait , as well as raise the issue of opening the Consulate General of Kuwait in Kurdistan Region ,”The Chairman of the Department of Foreign Relations of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) , Falah Mustafa said in a statement received by ”Shafaq News”.

He added that the visit also aims to “ discuss for cooperation in the political, economic and trade prospects and encourage the Kuwaiti private sector to come to Kurdistan and its work and participate in a commercial activity in the region and current investment activities “.

Mustafa expressed his optimism regarding opening the Consulate General of Kuwait in Kurdistan region "because it leads to develop prospects of existing historical relations between the region and the State of Kuwait”.

He pointed out that " agriculture , industry and tourism of important areas are available and open to the Kuwaiti private sector companies to invest in them “.
