New explosion stops oil flow from Kirkuk to Turkey

Iraqi officials have reported, last Wednesday, that the export of oil has stopped because of the bombing of the main pipeline sue to the explosion of roadside bombs west of Kirkuk, 250 km north of Baghdad.

The attack took place yesterday near Shura area, 60 kilometers to the south of Mosul city.

Reuter’s news agency quoted officials in statements briefed by "Shafaq News" that the repair work will take about 48 hours.

“The attackers planted a bomb on the side of the road near a part of the pipeline,” one of the officials said.

The line with a length of 900 km has been subjected to about 30 to bombings since the beginning of the year, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
