Ministry of Oil: We didn’t finish installing counters

The ministry’s spokesman , Assem Jihad told “Shafaq News " that “Ministry of Oil is continuing to develop and install electronic counters in the oil installations which doesn’t have counters and on all stages of production from the well to the process of pumping and export.
The Ministry of Oil announced earlier that it has completed installing central platform counters for the export of four floating platforms in Basra ports.
Jihad said that Iraq 's oil dependent on electronic counters in the export of oil to the outside and counters are available since before 2003 , adding that the calibration of the counters are being done by devices and specialized companies in Ceyhan and the South ports.
He added that all the reports issued by Transparency Initiative was identical with the announced figures by the oil counters announced by the Ministry of Oil on a monthly basis.
The Iraqi government announced on 10 January 2010 , Iraq's accession to the Transparency International initiative of extractive industries .
Mwaten parliamentary bloc of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council headed by Ammar al-Hakim demanded last Tuesday , setting up counters on the oil wells in the country in an effort to pull the fuse of differences between Baghdad and Erbil on oil file .
