“The ministry has signed a contract with the German company Siemens for the rehabilitation and maintenance of Baiji gas station worth 118 million Euros,” the ministry’s spokesman , Musab al-Mudares said in a statement received by “ Shafaq News”.

“The contract included maintenance and processing equipment for four gas units in Baiji gas station for a period of four years, subjected to extension as well as training engineering and technical staffs.

Iraq has suffered a shortage of electricity since the beginning of 1990, and increased electricity rationing hours after 2003 in Baghdad and the provinces, because of the old stations and sabotaging it.
