Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Monday banning the import of honey for the current season from all border outlets as of 24/11/2019, in light of the abundance of local product in the markets and according to the agricultural calendar and to protect the local product.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Agriculture announced earlier preventing (20) agricultural crop and animal product as a result of abundance in local markets and the application of the policy of protecting the local product and prevent dumping the market with imported products in support of the national economy.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Agriculture, through the Mesopotamian State Company for Seed, called on peaceful demonstrators to allow peasants and farmers to market their crops of maize and the processing of barley forage for the current agricultural season in Wasit and Babylon provinces.

The ministry called on peaceful demonstrators to allow marketing agricultural crops that are experiencing abundant production during the current season, which reflects positively on the national economy and provide food security for the Iraqi citizen, in addition to not being exposed to public property , maintain the flow of work in maize factories and receiving barley feed in Wasit provinces and Babylon, which would provide more jobs for peasants, livestock breeders and the people of the provinces.
